Hi-Fi audio enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to as HIFIMAN unveils several new planar magnetic headphone models this year. Leading the charge is the Edition XV, accompanied by the HE600, Ananda Unveiled, and Audivana LE, all aimed at delivering fresh tuning, enhanced comfort, and next-generation driver technology.
Edition XV
Priced at $399 USD, the Edition XV updates the Edition XS with a Gen 2 Neo Supernano Diaphragm that’s thinner and more responsive, plus rare-earth-free magnets designed for both performance and sustainability. A lighter composite headband adds comfort, while reviews praise its relaxed, musical sound that captures some of the character of HIFIMAN’s flagships at a fraction of the cost.
HE600
The HE600 brings the same upgraded magnet system and lighter headband design, with a focus on long-session comfort. At around 389 g, it’s built for extended listening without fatigue while still delivering HIFIMAN’s signature planar clarity.
Ananda Unveiled
The new Ananda iteration features the Gen 2 diaphragm and rare-earth-free magnets, alongside protective Magnetic Veils for its open drivers. It’s tailored for listeners who want high detail and spacious sound in a durable, updated design.
Audivana LE
Details remain limited on the Audivana LE, but it rounds out the 2025 lineup as another option aimed at audiophiles seeking a balance of refinement and value.
With these releases, HIFIMAN continues to refine planar design, delivering a blend of technical precision, comfort, and musicality for both newcomers and seasoned audiophiles. We hope to obtain a loaner unit for all three, allowing us to thoroughly test them and compare their performance with that of the current competition. Stay tuned!
