Sony has introduced the 1000X THE COLLEXION, a new premium wireless headphone created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the company’s acclaimed 1000X noise-cancelling series. Positioned above the WH-1000XM6, THE COLLEXION focuses on elevated design, premium materials, and enhanced audio performance.
The headphones feature a newly developed 30mm driver with a carbon composite dome, designed to deliver improved detail retrieval, clarity, and low-frequency response. Powering the system is Sony’s new Integrated Processor V3 alongside the QN3 noise-cancelling processor, enabling advanced active noise cancellation, AI-powered DSEE Ultimate upscaling, and several 360 Reality Audio Upmix modes tailored for music, cinema, and gaming.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC, AAC, SBC, and LC3 codec support, multipoint pairing, and Sony’s latest voice-calling technology. Battery life is rated for up to 24 hours with active noise cancellation enabled, or up to 32 hours with ANC disabled. The headphones are available in Platinum and Black finishes and feature a redesigned luxury aesthetic with premium metal accents and upgraded comfort features.
Sony has priced the 1000X THE COLLEXION at USD $649, positioning it as the most premium model in the company’s wireless headphone lineup. Availability begins in select markets from May 2026.
