Sennheiser Announces HDB 630, a New Entry in High-Resolution Wireless Audio

Sennheiser has officially unveiled its newest wireless headphones, the HDB 630, positioning it as a high-resolution, audiophile-leaning alternative in the premium ANC category. While details are still emerging, the HDB 630 appears to build on the design and functionality of the Momentum 4, with several upgrades aimed at more discerning listeners.

Design and Features

The HDB 630 is a closed-back over-ear headphone equipped with active noise cancellation and a 42 mm dynamic driver. Sennheiser describes it as offering a more neutral, reference-style sound signature. The design retains a familiar Sennheiser aesthetic but with subtle refinements intended to enhance comfort and isolation.

High-Resolution Support

A key feature of the HDB 630 is its support for 24-bit/96 kHz audio, both wired and wireless. It features Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive for enhanced audio quality. It comes bundled with a USB-C transmitter dongle (BTD 700) to unlock high-resolution wireless playback even on devices that don’t natively support it.

Battery Life and App Integration

Sennheiser claims up to 60 hours of battery life with ANC on, along with quick charging that provides roughly seven hours of playback from a ten-minute top-up. Through the company’s Smart Control Plus app, users will gain access to a parametric EQ for fine-tuning sound, as well as new features like crossfeed mode and shareable EQ presets.

Pricing and Availability

The Sennheiser HDB 630 is priced at USD 499.95 and is expected to begin shipping around late October 2025. This places it above the Momentum 4 in the lineup, signaling a push toward a more high-end, reference-grade category for the brand.
