Headphone Sound Leakage in an Office Enviroment

0

Headphones are a necessity in any work environment because you can’t simply work without them. Most people use it as a tool to keep themselves focused but let’s also not forget it’s a communication tool (i.e. headsets) for video conferencing. That being said, I work in an environment where headphone audio leakage is somewhat of an issue (just like in many corporate environments), hence the idea for this article.

November Hifi Show 2013 Recap

0

The November Hifi Show is a yearly local event for audio and video enthusiasts. The purpose, according to them, is to provide a platform to display the finest consumer and professional electronics as a total lifestyle package. The tradition started in 2004 but this year was my first time attending the said event. And boy I enjoyed it!

The Good-Sounding AKG K550 Headphone

I personally like full-size sealed headphones. They’re big,  mostly comfortable, they seal around the ear easier and they isolate a whole lot of noise passively making listening much more enojoyable. I believe this is also the most common headphone as a lot of people seem to have preference for it. Sound-wise, it can be a mixed bag of nuts though. Fortunately the AKG K550 is on the good side.

The Extravagant Bowers & Wilkins P7

Bowers and Wilkins, more commonly referred to as B&W has released a new flagship in P7 which replaces the popular P5 as their top of the line headphone. B&W isn’t really known for building audiophile grade headphones, however a lot of headphone enthusiasts still like their headphones (particularly the P5) as it’s not really too bad and somehow threads the line in between. Did I say yet they look gorgeous?

Review of the Compact AKG K451 Headphones

On-ear headphones tend to be more portable than over-ear cans mainly because of the size factor. There’s just no way it can be convenient for full size headphones to be carried around unless it comes with a carry case. But still, they tend to take up space and aren’t as compact as on-ear headphones.

Reading the title of this review, it’s obvious that the AKG K451 falls into the more portable category.

Audeze’s New Headphones: LCD-X & LCD-XC

Audeze is one of the most liked companies in terms of making audiophile headphones as their LCD-2 and LCD-3 models are extremely popular and well-loved by the community. They announced two new models recently that were also previewed in the recent CanJam RMAF. They are the Audeze LCD-X and LCD-XC. Let’s have a brief look on each of them.

We’re normally not the type that would go to a cosplay event however our friends over at AKG Philippines is one of the major partners of the event and they were kind enough to send us an invite. And so, we’re now looking to go to the event. 🙂

The Competitive Sennheiser Momentum On-ear

It’s safe to say by now that the original Momentum is well-received in the headphone community as it generally gained a positive feedback since being released. While Sennheiser may have the on-ear version rolled up on their sleeves  since the start, releasing it after the other surely would attract the same attention,  perhaps even more from headphone hobbyists and audiophiles alike.
