Sony V55 DJ Headphone Review

Sony sent us three headphones some time ago. One was the MDR-1R, the other one was the basshead XB920, and the last one is this headphone, the V55. We instantly figured out that this headphone is the less celebrated among the three based on how it looked.  But how does it fare sound-wise? We’ll find out in this review.

A Quick Look on the new V-Moda XS Headphone

V-Moda M80 was a big hit when it was released and is still considered as one of top on-ear headphones available today (it’s even recommended by us here!). It was therefore not surprising that V-Moda attempted to improve on it even more and they do so by making sure that their customers’ feedback are considered.

AKG K495NC Headphone Review

Noise-cancelling headphones are not ‘audiophile’ in terms of sound quality however some of them aren’t as bad as what people would like to make of them. This tradeoff is definitely understandable but a certain balance has to be achieved still for them to be worth the price. How does AKG K495NC fit into the whole picture? We will find out in this review.

Review of the JBL J88 Headphones

JBL J55 was not bad and that alone is a good reason for us to be excited with the JBL J88 headphone which is the top-of-the-line of JBL’s J-line of cans. Yes too many “J’s” in one sentence. How would the J88 fare against its lower end model and more importantly as a basshead headphone? We’ll find out in this review.

Unboxing of the AKG K495NC Headphones

We normally do not do unboxing article of headphones as we are more compelled to dive in straight to the full review of  it. That changes though when we feel a headphone is interesting (and perhaps expensive) and this noise cancelling headphone from AKG both are, and is definitely worth an unboxing. So welcome to the unboxing of the K495NC!

Sony MDR-XB920 Basshead Headphone Review

Another review for another basshead can. Boy, basshead headphones seem to be everywhere and quite honestly it’s probably because they’re selling themselves well to the general consumers. Would that be the case for Sony MDR-XB920? We don’t know and we never will do but we’ll discuss the headphone in this review.

Headphone Giveaway Winners!

Our month-long headphone giveaway has come to an end and it’s time to announce the winners. But before doing that, let us thank AKG Philippines for supporting us and offering the prizes for this giveaway. That’s very generous of them so don’t forget to thank them or give back support by purchasing their products in the future.

The Sony MDR-1R Headphone Review

One thing that we’ve been noticing with the sealed headphone market is that they’re becoming more focused on making a headphone that sounds good as a whole instead of focusing on specific sonic characteristics. This is not bad in my opinion and I think it’s more of just accepting that sealed headphones don’t sound like open headphones so there’s no need to force it. Could Sony have gotten it right with their MDR-1R headphone? You will find that out in this review.
